Monash University invites applications for the role of Senior Director, Commercialisation within the Portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Enterprise) and Senior Vice-President (DVCRE).
The incoming Senior Director, Commercialisation will be a key part of the successful Monash Innovation leadership team and will be responsible for all aspects of commercialisation process applied to Monash University research discoveries (intellectual property) whilst providing vision and leadership. This is to maximise “Impact from Innovation” and to leverage technology transfer opportunities.
Our client is particularly interested to hear from leaders who have a high level and deep knowledge of how industry works, and the levers and challenges of industry. It is also important to have proven experience in developing successful relationships with industry, investors and government and managing complex contractual negotiations and arrangements, including commercial, legal and intellectual property risks.
The role will enable leadership in engagement with industry and government organisations to identify and secure commercial opportunities. The Senior Director, Commercialisation will represent Monash University on a national and international stage regarding commercialisation activities.
