Barbara Taylor

Barbara is a Consultant and joined Society in October 2021 to support our global Hospitality and Leisure team, but she also handles assignments in other areas of the business. She worked previously as an international executive search generalist with Executives in Africa in the UK, and Oxford Recruitment in Zimbabwe. 
 
Barbara has experience across nearly all sectors, from small to medium social enterprise start-ups to global financial institutions and multinational brands. With over 20 years of experience in recruitment, she has worked on assignments in the UK, Asia Pacific, and the UAE, as well as in 44 of the countries in Africa. Barbara enjoys working with multiple stakeholders in diverse, multifaceted environments across varied functions and sectors.
 
As a collaborative team member with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude and energy, Barbara possesses a deep understanding of the importance of due diligence, quality and speed to facilitate successful long-term placements.
 
Since joining Society, Barbara has filled several senior leadership positions for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, FHHB Hospitality Limited and Kinsfolk & Co, Archer Hotel Management and in Clubland.
 
Barbara was born and educated in Africa and has lived in Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa, Kenya and Cyprus. She is now based in the UK.
