Listen to Society's Managing Director being interviewed on the 'Purposely' podcast
Our Managing Director, Simon Lucas, appeared as the guest on a recent episode of the ‘Purposely’ podcast. Hosted by Mark Longbottom, Purposely aims to amplify the stories of people who are making a positive impact on society and the environment.
Together, Mark and Simon talk about how Society was founded, why it decided to become a B Corporation, and how it goes about balancing a focus on People, Planet, and Profit. They also discuss the company’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and the challenges it faced during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mark is based in New Zealand, but lived and worked in the UK earlier in his career. He has a a passion for audio, and is an avid listener of radio, audiobooks and podcasts; especially those focused on people’s origin stories and exploring the life experiences that lead people to do what they do today. He believes in the importance of purpose and knowing your ‘why’. This led Mark to start the Purposely podcast, with the aim of meeting brave smart people who care about others and who are motivated to act and make a positive and lasting difference.
