Society's innovative Higher Education Practice continues to expand

The past three months have seen some exciting additions to Society's higher education (HE) client portfolio. We have enjoyed assisting the University of Surrey, London South Bank University, and Northumbria University on a series of academic appointments. We have also been working with the University of Plymouth, the University of Derby, and City University on a range of Professional Services appointments. These recent relationships add to our existing client base within the HE sector, which includes the University of Edinburgh, the University of Exeter, the University of Cambridge, the University of East Anglia and many others.

Society's work with HE providers is underpinned by our innovative ‘Research Days' approach. This is a quick, lighter-touch methodology, which allows clients to hire out the services of our research team on a day rate. This helps our clients to round up a wide and high calibre field of candidates, and then allows them to get straight on with interviewing and assessing those candidates as they see fit.

Senior Researcher Richard Murphy, who coordinates the majority of the firm's work in the HE sector, commented:

"We have found ‘Research Days' to be increasingly popular with universities. For mid-level roles it provides a straightforward, streamlined way of making an appointment, without the lottery of an advertisement, but also without the expense of a full executive search. In other words, it offers clients a happy medium."
