Society working with global facilities management firm ISS

We are delighted to be assisting ISS on the appointment of a Food and Beverage Manager for the new Sunborn venue at the Royal Victoria Dock, next to ExCel London.

Launching in Spring 2014, Sunborn London is a super yacht hotel that will be operated by ISS Facility Services - Hotels Divison.  Founded in Denmark, ISS has grown to become one of the leading facility services companies in the world. They are also active in cleaning, catering, security, support, and property services.

Super yachts have become the world's ultimate symbol of wealth and exclusivity, and Sunborn's unique concept combines the privacy of a super yacht with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. The yacht has been designed to the highest specification, offering exquisite accommodation and facilities, and exceptional service.

The project will support the local community by partnering with the East London Business Alliance (ELBA) to recruit 80 staff. A full range of hotel roles - from housekeeping to receptionists - will be available via ELBA, the social regeneration charity in east London supporting initiatives that provide skills and employability. ISS Hotels has worked with ELBA for over five years to provide work and training opportunities for local residents. These roles fall within the remit of the ISS commitment to the Living Wage Scheme, to ensure people are paid a full and fair wage.
