Founded in 1969 by Richard Block (the 'B') and David Quayle (the 'Q'), B&Q is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Kingfisher Plc. Kingfisher is one of only 15 business to have been awarded the elite Platinum Plus status by Business and the Community's annual Corporate Responsibility Index 2012.
