Society hosts exclusive luxury retail event at the top of Tower Bridge
On Thursday 20th October, Paul and Tom from our Retail and Consumer Goods team hosted a thought leadership event in the North Tower Lounge of London’s iconic Tower Bridge. It focused on the anatomy and custodianship of luxury and heritage brands.
The event was attended by leading brand professionals from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Thomas Pink, and Liberty. We were treated to a discussion led by Andy Rogers, Brand Director of McQ for Alexander McQueen, who also delivered a unique and insightful presentation on his work in constructing and reinventing brands like Stella McCartney, Fred Perry, and Reiss. There was then a lively debate around matters of brand DNA and integrity, and how this is best communicated to a target consumer base. The morning provided ample scope for networking, but also a chance for industry leaders to share their experiences and ideas of how brands are constructed and articulated, and how they can best remain continually relevant in a fast moving consumer culture that is increasingly centred on digital platforms. After breakfast guests were also treated to an exclusive walk across the Tower’s Glass Floored Walkway.
This was the first in a series of exclusive ‘Breakfast@’ events to be hosted by our Retail and Consumer Goods team over the coming few months.
Our thanks go to the staff at Tower Bridge for ensuring that everything ran so smoothly.
