Society hosts a webinar about the lack of black international school leaders
On Thursday, 12 November, Society hosted a free hour-long webinar, exploring the under-representation of black leaders in international schools.
Conor Wilson, the head of our Schools and Colleges Practice, chaired an expert panel consisting of:
- Dale Taylor - Head of School at the Aga Khan School Dhaka in Bangladesh;
- Proserpina Dhlamini-Fisher - Founding Director of Educational Aspirations;
- Roderick Jemison - Founding Head of UWC ISAK Japan.
The three speakers discussed what schools and recruiters need to understand, and do differently, in order to address the under-representation of black leaders in international schools.
We’ve made a video of the event available on YouTube.
Our thanks to the Association of International Educators and Leaders of Color (AIELOC) for their help in promoting and sharing this.
