Society helps to launch a new charitable trust

The long-planned 'Society Foundation' has now been formally established. This new trust will take forward Society's pledge to donate a least 10% of its profits to charitable causes.  An independent Board of Trustees has been assembled to lead the Foundation.  

The charitable goals of the Foundation have been defined as "To promote community development and to relieve poverty, by providing grant funding to programmes and organisations that are working to get the following potentially disadvantaged groups into paid employment:

• the recently homeless or vulnerably housed;
• 16-24 year-olds not in employment, education, or training;
• ex-offenders.
