Society delighted to be working with Business in the Community

Business in the Community (BITC) is a unique movement of member companies committed to mobilising business as a force for good through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agendas. Society is delighted to be working with BITC at the moment on the appointment of a new Education Campaign Director.

Recently BITC's Chairman, Sir Stuart Rose, called on businesses across the UK to improve the first experience of work for over 500,000 young people every year.  There is a recognised gap between young people's expectations of the world of work and what business expects from new employees. BITC's new ‘Work Inspiration' campaign will aim to address this by offering young people an early, inspiring, interesting and insightful exposure to the workplace.

The Work Inspiration campaign was launched on 15th September with an event at Spitalfield's Market which convened 100 young people with 100 CEOs from a wide range of companies and public sector employers.
