Society completes a fortnight-long 'Ready For Work' placement
Over the past fortnight Society has been playing host to a mentee from ‘Ready For Work’, a scheme run by Business in the Community that helps to get disadvantaged people back into employment.
Society has been hosting a summer work experience placement for the past five years, but this is our first year partnering with Ready For Work. 150 businesses in 20 locations around the UK now support Ready For Work participants through training, work placements and their progress into employment. In return, businesses benefit from cost-effective recruitment opportunities, stronger links with the local community and personal and professional development for employee volunteers.
