Society booked to take part in 'Give & Gain Day 2012'

On Friday 18th May, Society are due to take part in Business in the Community's annual 'Give & Gain Day'. We will be joining thousands of people from firms around the UK by getting out of the office and seeking to make a difference in our local community.

Society's team have decided to roll up their sleeves to take on some gardening work at Rowdown Primary School in Croydon. We will be turning an unused grassy patch into a fun and active play area for Years 1 and 2. This will involve cutting back vegetation, building play dens and huts and planting new bushes.

Later in the day we will be helping pupils prepare for the upcoming 'Big Dance' (www.bigdance2012.com) by teaching them some choreographed dance moves!

Businesses in London have a strong history of supporting volunteering in the local community. Last year, over 60 companies in the region sent out 2,924 volunteers on Give & Gain Day, helping 70 community organisations.
