New comic-strip aims to unmask corruption and suffering
Last week saw the publication of a new comic book collection which aims to encourage young people to get angry about corruption and suffering and interested in ways of fighting them. Ctrl.Alt.Shift, the organisation behind this idea, is an experimental youth initiative set up by Christian Aid. It aims to use comics, film and music in order to engage a new generation of activists.
The specially-commissioned new comic are being showcased at the Lazarides Gallery on Greek Street in Soho, London, until 30th November along with other pieces from the history of political comic art, such as Superman's visit to famine-hit Ethiopia in 1986.
