Leading charity CEO, Dhivya O’Connor, joins Society’s Board of Advisors
In addition to its formal Board of Directors, Society has recently begun to create an Advisory Board consisting of trusted individuals with a shared interest in the company’s growth and impact. The first member of this new grouping was Vikas Pota, the Founder and CEO of T4 Education, a digital media platform. Vikas has now been joined by another long-standing friend of the firm, Dhivya O’Connor.
Core responsibilities of the Advisory Board members include assisting the firm with brokering new relationships that will increase its growth and impact, advising and inputting into the company’s strategy, and providing ad hoc guidance and advice to our CEO.
Dhivya O’Connor has 23 years' experience as a senior leader across the non-profit and for-profit sectors. She is currently Interim CEO at The Girls' Network, a youth mentoring organisation, and has previously served as CEO for United World Schools, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, and Children with Cancer UK. She is a Board Trustee of Book Aid International, a non-profit which shares the power of books to help create a more equal world; is on the Steering Committee of Groundbreakers, a network promoting women leaders in the voluntary sector; and is Governor of a state primary school in London. Dhivya is also a Judge this year of the prestigious Third Sector Awards 2023.
Dhivya is passionate about creating pathways for educational equality, and empowering women and girls. She has volunteered with NGOs in India, South Africa and Cambodia. Prior to joining the world of non-profits, she held various strategy, business development and leadership roles, in the for-profit sector.
Dhivya is also the creator and host of the chart-topping show, The Charity CEO Podcast, which Society is pleased to be sponsoring at the current time.
