Fairtrade Foundation launches the 'Big Swap' campaign
The centrepiece of this year's Fairtrade Fortnight (22nd February to 7th March) is a campaign to persuade 1,000,001 people to swap their usual product for a Fairtrade-marked equivalent.
Last year UK sales of Fairtrade products rise 12% to nearly £800 million. There are now Fairtrade products for sale in every major supermarket chain, and an estimated 7.5 million people in Africa, Asia and Latin America are benefiting. The Big Swap aims to accelerate this progress.
