B&Q colleagues undertake an 'Ultimate Commute'
On Friday 28th September, a small, intrepid group of B&Q, Kingfisher and Brico Depôt staff will begin an epic cycle ride from Hampshire. Their journey will take them via B&Q Farnborough, Kingfisher's Paddington offices in London, B&Q Gillingham and B&Q Dover, en route to France. Their ultimate goal is to reach the Lille offices of Castorama on Monday 30th September in order to attend an important meeting.
This challenge, which they have dubbed the ‘Ultimate Commute', will cover a total distance of over 230 miles in just three days. The team's goal is to highlight the importance of smarter business travel and to raise money for the BBC's Children in Need campaign.
The challenge is also linked to the Prince of Wales' ‘Start' initiative, Kingfisher's ‘Net Positive' ambition, and B&Q's award winning ‘One Planet Home' programme.
