World Heart Federation recruits critical partnerships role

Society partnered with the World Heart Federation to recruit Douglas Campbell Rouse as Director of Partnerships, responsible for leading the growth of its multi-stakeholder partnerships and resource mobilisation strategy.

World Heart Federation is a global organization committed to reducing the burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) through leadership, advocacy and coordinating partnerships between the private, public and NGO sectors. This new, key role focuses on developing relationships, securing income and identifying practical and high impact ways for Federation members and private sector partners to work together.

Society targeted a range of corporate fundraising and resource mobilisation specialists with a track record of building high value partnerships with the private sector. Individuals familiar with the public health arena were of particular interest.

Douglas Campbell Rouse joins from Save the Children, where he worked as Corporate Partnerships Director for over five and a half years and significantly increased corporate funding. Prior to that he led Corporate Partnerships for the British Heart Foundation.
