The University of Sheffield appoints new Director of Student Recruitment & Admissions
The University of Sheffield is a leading global university renowned for the excellence, impact and distinctiveness of its research-led learning and teaching across a wide range of disciplines. It continues to be recognised for outstanding teaching and research and is ranked 75th in the word in the QS World University Rankings.
The Director of Student Recruitment & Admissions develops and enhances the University’s strategy for student recruitment, working directly to the Director of Academic Services and the Vice President for Education to provides academic leadership in this area. As the new Director, Dan will lead the delivery of student recruitment, targeting those aligned with the Student Recruitment strategy and the overarching objective to improve the market share of the highest quality of UK, EU and international students
For the past nine years Dan has worked at the University of Lancaster where he is currently Head of Global Student Recruitment Office. He has been responsible for managing a significant level of resource in this area, as well as leading, formulating and implementing global student recruitment/marketing and outreach strategic plans which ensure that Lancaster achieves appropriate numbers of high-quality applications globally that translate into registrations.
On his appointment, Dan notes:
