The University of Roehampton appoints a new Deputy Dean of the School of Psychology
Dr Isabel Henton has been appointed as the new Deputy Dean of the School of Psychology at the University of Roehampton.
The School of Psychology is committed to delivering outstanding student outcomes and making a positive impact on society through its world-leading research and its community-based knowledge exchange. It offers a large variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and one of the most comprehensive and well-respected suite of therapy training programmes in the UK. Its staff expertise spans experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, comparative psychology, counselling psychology, psychotherapies, and the arts and play therapies.
The Deputy Dean will support the Dean of School in leading and managing the School to deliver on its strategic objectives around excellent educational experience and outcomes for students, world-class research and knowledge exchange, as well as environmental and financial sustainability.
Society conducted a broad search across the Higher Education sector in the UK, identifying individuals with operational and line management experience, and the ability to translate a well-rounded understanding of relevant research and teaching areas into strategic planning.
Dr Isabel Henton has held a number of senior leadership roles, bringing significant experience in curriculum development, programme management and delivery, quality assurance, strategic planning, as well as stakeholder engagement.
