The University of Liverpool Management School hires an exciting new Lecturer in Work, Organisation and Management
The University of Liverpool Management School is excited to announce Dr Samah Shaffakat as the newest lecturer to join the Work, Organisation and Management group.
EQUIS and AACSB accredited, with its full-time MBA ranked in the Economist top 100, the University of Liverpool Management School is an international management school based in an enterprising and vibrant, world city of culture. Formed in 2002 through the bringing together of a number of well-established departments and research groups in the University of Liverpool, the School provides a world-leading environment for research, management and leadership education. The pursuit of research which is internationally recognised for excellence in its originality, significance and rigour is central to the culture of the School, as is delivery of a strong student experience.
Following our previous work with Liverpool Management School, they recently asked Society to assist them in appointing a Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in Organisational Behaviour or Human Resource Management, preferably with specialist expertise in the area of leadership or talent management, to sit within the Work, Organisation and Management subject group. This group leads the delivery of specialist postgraduate programmes in Human Resource Management, Management, and Organisational and Occupational Psychology, as well as delivering modules to support a number of programmes across the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio.
Since completing her PhD in 2014, Samah has worked at INSEAD Singapore as a Postdoctoral Researcher and at Liverpool John Mores University where she has spent the past three years as a Lecturer. Samah’s current research examines the role of micro-level factors (emotions, personality, leader-member exchange and so on) in influencing workplace outcomes and she uses both qualitative and quantitative methods to understand behaviours in the workplace and the psychological underpinnings. She has published in several journals including the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Business Ethics.
