The University of Liverpool appoints a new Senior Lecturer in Accounting

Dr John Zhang has been appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting with the University of Liverpool Management School.

The University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS) sits in the top 5% of business schools worldwide and is pursuing an ambitious programme of growth built around bringing in new faculty to strengthen its research base across a number of areas, with Accounting as a key focus. The incoming Lecturer will play an active role in the new M.Sc. in Accounting and Finance, alongside strengthening the research base in accounting and contributing to teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Society conducted an extensive search on behalf of the University of Liverpool, connecting with academics across the UK and internationally and focusing specifically on those who possessed evidence of strong publication output and teaching experience within the accounting area.

Dr Zhang joins the University of Liverpool from Durham University where he held the position of Lecturer in Accounting, with expertise in financial accounting and auditing. John graduated from the Australian Nation University with a PhD in Accounting in 2012, and has since worked as an Associate Lecturer and Early Career Fellow in Accounting.
