The Lansdowne Club hires a new Head of Food and Beverage
Diederik Buyze joins the Lansdowne Club as the newly appointed Head of Food and Beverage to ensure the highest level of Club Member service.
Built in 1763, Lansdowne House became a social club in 1935.The Lansdowne Club has admitted men and women with equal social status since its doors opened. Today it is considered one of the most exclusive and traditional private Members' clubs in London. It is located in Mayfair at the heart of London's West End with Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, various art galleries and theatreland all a short walk or taxi ride away from the Club.
Society was tasked with finding the most suitable candidate to demonstrate creativity and adaptability to a changing environment, with clear and persuasive communication and an ability to come up with new ideas for the Club. Integrity, accountability and a co-operative approach was a core expectation for someone coming into the Club.
Diederik has an extensive background in Clubland, notably with the Royal Automobile Club and the Wentworth Club, where he directed the Food and Beverage operations. Diederik also has significant experience in five-star establishments such as the Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam and the Adare Manor in Ireland. Diederik brings a calm and professional confidence and is passionate, cultured and well-travelled. His strength is in encouraging like-minded people who want to push the boundaries of the hospitality industry whilst injecting fun and humility.
