Teenage Cancer Trust appoints new Director of Strategy and Impact

Tracy Webb will be joining Teenage Cancer Trust as their Director of Services and Impact.

Every day, seven young people in the UK aged 13-24 are diagnosed with cancer. Teenage Cancer Trust’s world-leading care and support puts young people in the best possible place, physically, mentally and emotionally, for their cancer treatment and beyond.

Society worked closely with Teenage Cancer Trust to design an open, inclusive and thorough search process that also gave candidates an excellent sight-line across the organisation and its stakeholders, including a session with young people who have experienced cancer. Our search spanned the charity and health sectors, and focused on identifying individuals who combined strategic and operational services experience with strong impact and innovation, people leadership, and digital capabilities.

Tracy joins from The Health Foundation, where she led collaborative health sector initiatives, including the Q Improvement Lab, which develops new ways of making progress on complex health and care challenges. Previously, Tracy spent ten years working in the NHS. She was the Deputy Head of Patient Choice at NHS England, where she developed policy and provided support for improving choice and personalisation and has also worked in a number of operational management roles at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust, latterly as General Manager for Women’s and Outpatient services.

Tracy is also the Chair of Shepherds Bush Families Project – a charity that helps families who are homeless or living in temporary or unsuitable accommodation and suffer social and economic hardship.
