Society collaborated with RMIT Vietnam on appointing the Associate Professor and Senior Program Manager for their Bachelor of Professional Communication. We conducted a global search to identify suitable candidates who could drive the largest program at the School of Communication and Design, to ensure it continues providing the highest quality education to its students. We searched for candidates with experience in areas such as advertising, public relations, digital communications, among other fields in the industry, and who were Senior Lecturers. It was also crucial that the candidates had experience managing programs and staff, or experience in other administrative tasks in higher education, including curriculum development or other areas.
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Giannina Warren has been appointed as the new Associate Professor and Senior Program Manager. She brings over 15 years of experience both in industry and academia. In her experience, she has managed professional communication programs, and has also developed programs focused on Place Branding, an area where she has focused her teaching and research more recently. Her most recent role included being Programme Leader, MA Place Branding at Middlesex University in the United Kingdom.
