RE:ACT Hires its New Chief People Officer
RE:ACT is a humanitarian charity that provides direct action in emergencies and natural disasters, rapidly deploying when people need immediate and urgent relief. It repurposes the hard-earned skills and experience of military veterans and emergency services personnel and turns them into exceptionally agile and resilient humanitarians, producing some of the finest emergency and crisis response teams in the world.
Society conducted a focused search across the not-for-profit sector as well as the private for senior candidates experienced in strategic HR and people leadership experience, who were based in or around the Southwest of England.
Jane Pound is an experienced senior HR professional with broad HR experience working in diverse leadership roles across a range of public sector settings including Housing, Criminal Justice, Health, Civil Service and Education sectors. Prior to joining RE:ACT, she was People Director at Aster Group, a Housing Association and Shared Ownership developer, where she worked with the business to identify and develop an integrated People Strategy, known as the Aster Offer.
On her appointment, Jane commented:
“The past two years have shown more than ever how our charity sector can play an essential role supporting communities in crisis with urgent response and care where it’s needed most. I am excited to join the RE:ACT team and to work with new CEO Toby Wicks to realise his ambition to develop the services and grow the organisation at home and abroad.”
