New Member joins the Quality Assurance Agency’s Advisory Committee for Degree Awarding Powers
Jenny Taylor from IBM will be joining the Quality Assurance Agency’s 'Advisory Committee on Degree Awarding Powers'.
Jenny is the leader of IBM UK's award-winning Graduate, Apprentice and Intern programmes, with responsibility for all aspects of the schemes, including recruitment, career management, development of education programmes, and financial management. She operates across the full spectrum of IBM's various business lines, managing Early Professionals in business, consulting, technology and sales.
Jenny is also Chair of the Tech Partnership Digital Apprenticeship Standards and Degree Apprenticeships Employer steering groups and plays a leading part in the development of Trailblazer standards. She actively supports initiatives to create skills for the digital economy including girls’ schools outreach, STEM and employability skills for young people. Jenny has received industry recognition for her mentoring and inspirational leadership. She was a Commissioner for the Princess Royal Training Awards in 2017.
Jenny has over 30 years’ experience with IBM and apart from her role as a graduate manager, worked extensively as a Project Manager on client facing engagements and also in Distribution, with responsibility for customer delivery. She is a graduate of the University of Liverpool where she read History.
Jenny says “I’m really excited to be joining the ACDAP committee, especially as I will be one of the first employer members and as such, hope I will be able to bring new insights and perspectives. Maintaining standards in Higher Education is extremely important and I’m looking forward to contributing to the work of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.”
