New Head of Science appointed for Benenden School

Benenden has been one of the leading boarding schools in Britain for the last 90 years.  It was founded in 1923 and is situated in 240 acres of attractive parkland in Kent, the Garden of England.  There are currently 551 girls in the school, aged 11-18, with 183 of those in the Sixth Form. 

Society are delighted to have assisted Benenden in the recent appointment of Rohini Chohan-Carpenter as their new Head of Science. Rohini brings 21 years of teaching experience to her new position, including 12 years as Head of Science at Dover College. She joins Benenden from Folkestone School for Girls.

When asked about her experience, Rohini said:

“I thought the recruitment process during both my interviews was very good indeed. It was well organised and thought out the process.  I felt supported and knew precisely the agenda etc. I liked the fact that Society kept in touch to tell me exactly what stage I was at during the interviews.

The most impressive thing for me however was the fact that money was donated to a charity once I had been offered the job. This is a fantastic idea and I felt very happy that I was able to help children abroad to receive an education.”
