Mental Health Foundation hires a Senior Policy Manager and Partnership & Development Manager

Society handled the appointment of Jessica Janes as Partnership & Development Manager and Oliver Chantler as Senior Policy Manager at the Mental Health Foundation.

Since 1949, the Mental Health Foundation has been the UK’s leading charity for mental health. With prevention at the heart of what it does, it aims to find and address the sources of mental health problems so that people and communities can thrive. They were seeking a Partnership & Development Manager to grow and scale up their range of programmes supporting mental health across the country, and a Senior Policy Manager to lead on policy analysis and development, influencing policy makers, and supporting advocacy and campaigns.

Society conducted a national search across the health, social care and wider not-for-profit sector, as well as the NHS, CCGs and local authorities. We sought out candidates with seniority and strategic experience across delivering and growing programmes and across policy and public affairs, prioritising those who had worked in mental health or demonstrated a passion for mental health.

Oliver Chantler, the new Senior Policy Manager, previously worked at Samaritans as their Public Affairs & Campaigns Manager, and prior to that at organisations which include Barnardo’s and Mencap. Jessica Janes, the new Partnership & Development Manager, has spent the last eight years as Business Change Manager at Nottingham City Council and prior to that worked at PwC and Oxford University Press.

Oliver commented,

“It's such an important time for mental health policy, and I'm really excited to start at the Mental Health Foundation and play my part in helping it realise its vision of a world with good mental health for all.”

Jessica commented,

"I am delighted to be joining MHF at the beginning of April, into this exciting new role. I am particularly looking forward to working with others to extend the reach of the fantastic work MHF do, across different parts of England and to an even wider group of people."

“I found working with Society an incredibly positive recruitment experience. All information provided was clear and professionally delivered. Shehrazade was approachable and willing to speak at any point in the process. Thank you Society and particularly Shehrazade."
