LCC appoint new Programme Director for Film and Television
The London College of Communication (LCC) have appointed Harriet Cox as their new Programme Director for the Film and Television course offering.
LCC is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London, located in Elephant and Castle. A pioneering world leader in creative communications education, LCC has around 5,000 students on almost 50 courses in media, design and screen studies.
For this appointment LCC were keen to seek out someone with a strong mix of experience both as a film practitioner, but also as an academic leader. Our search therefore led us to look at both traditional higher education institutions but also specialist film schools and across industry.
Harriet Cox has been the Head of Cinematography at the London Film School for the past 16 years with a background working in professional practice as a camera operator on a number of award winning films. Harriet said:
“I am delighted to be joining Larra Anderson at the Screen School of London College of Communication and excited at the prospect of working with this highly-respected team of educators and practitioners to nurture the vision and talent of our future filmmakers. Thank you to Richard at Society; I appreciated the experienced professionalism through the recruitment process. And of course, a big thank you to Larra and the interview panel for offering me this privilege and tremendous opportunity.”
Harriet will take up her post in mid-December.
