Kingston School of Art appoints its inaugural Associate Dean, Research, Business and Innovation
Professor Maria Chatzichristodoulou has been appointed to the position of Associate Dean, Research, Business and Innovation at Kingston School of Art (KSA), Kingston University.
Kingston University is the largest higher education provider in South West London, with students from over 140 countries and an annual income of around £200 million. Passionate about the power of university education to transform lives, it believes strongly in students putting their academic study into practice – ‘thinking through making’. They were looking for an individual to provide overall leadership, management, development and co-ordination of Research and Innovation in the Faculty, including postgraduate research, providing advice on research matters, with additional responsibility for ensuring that Research and Innovation inputs to academic activity contribute to the student experience.
Society conducted a national search on behalf of KSA for this exciting new role for the Faculty, engaging individuals across the Art & Design and wider Humanities disciplines, with proven leadership experience across Research, Business and Innovation.
Professor Maria Chatzichristodoulou was appointed to the role, assuming her new position in May 2020 from London South Bank University, where she was Director, Centre for Research in Digital Storymaking & Head of Division, Creative Industries & Reader, Head of External Development and Enterprise.
