Impetus appoints a new Philanthropy Manager
Impetus is a UK-based charity that aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people aged 11-24. The organization works by partnering with other charities and providing them with strategic support, funding, and expertise to help them grow and achieve greater impact. Impetus focuses on four key areas: education and employment, youth offending, mental health, and care leavers. Through their work, they aim to break the cycle of poverty and inequality, giving young people the skills, opportunities, and support they need to succeed in life.
Society assisted Impetus in securing a Philanthropy Manager for its collaborative, ambitious fundraising team. The Philanthropy and Partnerships team is responsible for all income generation at Impetus; they fund the Impetus grants programme, its capacity building and policy programmes and all additional costs that are required. They also fundraise and manage substantial grants which flow directly to Impetus’ charity partners. This involves getting to know all 23 of its partner organisations and getting involved in their income generation strategies as well as its own capacity-building work.
We concentrated on identifying individuals passionate about Impetus’ mission and well placed to secure partnerships with individuals, family foundations and corporates. We also facilitated and shared a video recording where the team spoke about its work for those considering the opportunity.
We are pleased to announce that Impetus have now appointed Hannah Lear as its Philanthropy Manager. Hannah was previously a Fundraising Manager at The Brilliant Club, a UK-wide university access charity focused on increasing the number of less advantaged students accessing the most competitive universities and supporting them to succeed when they get there.
Congratulations, Hannah! Wishing you the best for your Impetus journey.
