Heifer International appoints a new Vice President of Enterprise Accounting & Global Controller
Camila Rodriguez has become Heifer International’s Vice President of Enterprise Accounting & Global Controller, leading their Enterprise Accounting team and focusing on innovating their financial systems.
Since 1944, Heifer International has worked with more than 39 million families around the world to end hunger and poverty in a sustainable way. Working with rural communities in 19 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Americas, including the United States, Heifer International supports farmers and local food producers to strengthen local economies and build secure livelihoods that provide strengthen local economies and build secure livelihoods that provide a living income.
Society was retained by Heifer to support them in searching for the ideal candidate, someone who had proven experience in accounting and finance, leading global teams and bringing innovation into their organizations. We searched throughout the United States and the wider world, looking for finance leaders in both for profit and nonprofit organizations.
The successful candidate has over 10 years of experiences working in the development and finance fields. She brings experiences from nonprofits such as United Nations Foundation, The Brookings Institution, Global Fund for Children, and from for-profit organizations such as Waxman Strategies, in some where she has been part of the senior leadership team, overseeing both strategy and operations. Camila expressed the following:
