Heifer Foundation is an organization with the mission to grow and oversee financial assets to support the work of Heifer International, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty while caring for the Earth. Heifer Foundation’s model focused on investments and planned giving allows individuals to provide financial support to agricultural entrepreneurs, while allowing them to move toward and attain sustainable living income.

Society conducted a search focusing on Arkansas and surrounding states, searching for individuals that had experience in impact investing, finance, and planned giving, among other areas of expertise.

Katherine St. Amour started her career in the Big Four on roles focusing on auditing and mergers and acquisitions. She then moved to the not-for-profit space focusing on strategy. Before joining Heifer Foundation, she had worked at Heifer International, initially as the Finance Lead for Heifer USA and most recently as the Director of Finance for Heifer Impact Capital. Katherine shared the following when asked about joining Heifer Foundation:

“I am thrilled to be joining Heifer Foundation as Vice President of Investments and Finance. It has been a privilege to work with Heifer International over the past five years, and this opportunity is an exciting continuation of my commitment to support their mission of ending hunger and poverty from a different vantage point. Heifer Foundation is a pioneer in mission aligned investing and I look forward to working with the talented team to help grow their impact.”

She also shared her experience working with Society:

“This was my first time working with Society and I very much enjoyed it. The team was thorough, knowledgeable, and communicative, making the recruiting process a very positive one. Society’s values and understanding of Heifer International Foundation were forefront in every step of the process.”

Heifer Foundation had the following to say:

“We are incredibly grateful for Society in helping us find the right candidate for the position and our organization. Society was responsive, collaborative, and most importantly, supportive. As this was the second time our organization has worked with Society, we cannot recommend them enough.”

We wish Katherine the best of success in this new role.
