British University in Egypt appoints three new Senior Assistant Registrars
British University in Egypt (BUE) has grown significantly since its establishment in 2005, both in terms of size and reputation. To support their mission of providing a modern and innovative British style of education in Egypt, BUE was working to recruit talented individuals to a range of senior academic and professional service positions. Upon completion of our extensive search, BUE has appointed Dr Bethan O'Neil, Sally Roberts and Alam Mahbubul.
BUE is the largest single provider of UK-validated higher education in Egypt and one of the largest in the MENA region. Its mission is to offer a modern innovative British-style education with research-led learning experience from a vibrant 21st Century campus, producing distinctive, highly employable and high calibre graduates contributing to the development of Egypt, Africa and the MENA region.
Society undertook a highly targeted approach to this process, tailoring our search to individuals with management experience in UK Higher Education, identifying those with involvement in student support, quality assurance, or registry administration.
Dr. Bethan O'Neil has broad expertise in professional services, academic management, and teaching and research. Prior to joining BUE, Dr. O’Neil was a Quality Assurance & Enhancement Manager and a Lecturer in Business and Management and Law at Aberystwyth University Mauritius.
Sally Roberts has extensive experience in Higher Education with a primary focus on Quality and Standards. Her position prior to stepping into the Senior Assistant Registrar role with BUE was Interim Programme Head at The Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations.
Alam Mahbubul is a highly experienced quality manager. Before joining BUE, he was Quality Manager (Curriculum and Standards) at London Metropolitan University.
