Archer Hotel Management appoints new Managing Director

Matthew Dixon has been appointed to the position of Managing Director at Archer Hotel Management. He will be responsible for the overall performance of the operating platform and the hotels under it, as well as management of the central AHM team. 

Archer Hotel Capital B.V (“AHC”) was established in December 2018 and owns one of the best quality hotel portfolios in Europe, comprising 13 hotels with a gross asset value of over €2.7bn. Archer is jointly owned by APG Asset Management and GIC, two of the world’s leading institutional investors. Archer Hotel Management, is the operating arm, established in 2021, and currently has six hotels under its management, with one more currently under construction.

Society were tasked with finding an experienced leader, with strong knowledge of the hospitality sector and a background in luxury hotel operations, combined with a keen eye for cost-cutting. Our search covered the hospitality sector across the UK and Continental Europe, spanning large hotel groups, boutique brands, and hospitality management companies. 

Matthew has thirty years of experience in luxury hotel operations, from brands such as Savoy Group, Mandarin Oriental, and Rocco Forte. He was most recently with Corinthia, where he successfully oversaw the opening of the Corinthia London before moving to the Middle East for several years. Matthew brings extensive experience in successfully operating hotels across a variety of asset classes and locations, as well as significant leadership expertise.
