Archer Hotel Management appoints new Head of Revenue & Commercial Strategy

Lukas Peter has been brought into the Archer Hotel Management team in London to develop and drive the revenue strategy across their growing portfolio, which combines a mixture of independent and franchised hotels. This newly created role is responsible for identifying and implementing the most value accretive and market appropriate revenue and commercial strategies for each asset.

Archer Hotel Management is the operating arm of Archer Hotel Capital, which was established in 2018 and owns one of the best quality hotel portfolios in Europe, comprising 12 hotels with a gross asset value of circa €2.4bn and revenues of over €300m. Archer is jointly owned by APG Asset Management and GIC, two of the world’s leading institutional investors.

Our search strategy had three focus areas. Firstly, it focused on candidates with a grounding in hotel revenue management who had then moved into market-focused or business development roles within Online Travel Agents. Secondly, it focused on current Revenue Managers within international hotel chains in mid-level, multi-property roles with demonstrable career progression (potential rising stars). Finally, it focused on hotel revenue managers who had then started working in customer success or business development roles within Revenue Management System providers.

As the previous Head of Global Revenue at Soho House, Lukas brings 8 years’ experience of revenue and commercial analysis across luxury hotels and private members’ clubs.

Lukas Peter brings over a decade of experience in the luxury & lifestyle hospitality industry, having previously served as the Global Head of Revenue at Soho House. During his tenure, Lukas played a pivotal role in pioneering, implementing, and executing the entire hotel revenue management infrastructure from the get-go, overseeing 27 hotels globally, directing multiple diverse and international commercial teams, and successfully leading over 16 hotel openings. In his new role, Lukas will focus on total revenue management and explore innovative approaches to traditional structures, while also expanding his supervision of the commercial aspect, building on his experience of nurturing this domain at Soho House. As an aspiring leader in corporate and global revenue management, Lukas is excited to make a significant impact at Archer Hotel Capital.
