African financial sector development NGO makes key senior appointment

Society is pleased to announce that Evans Osano joined the FSD Africa team this week as Director of Capital Markets Development.  We collaborated with FSD Africa in recruiting this role, which will drive their growing work supporting the development of capital markets in Africa.

Evans brings 20 years' senior level experience in investments and financial markets. His work experience spans Africa, Middle East & North Africa (MENA), North America, Europe and South Asia. He joins FSD Africa from the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group where he worked for over nine years, latterly as a Senior Securities Market Specialist.

Prior to the World Bank Group, Evans worked in the asset management industry, as Head of Investments at AIG Investment Group, East Africa (now Pinebridge) where his responsibilities included managing a pan-African total return fund that was a pioneer investor in debt and equity markets in Africa.
