Médecins Sans Frontières Australia has appointed Muhammad Wazirzada as their first Head of Digital Marketing

Médecins Sans Frontières Australia (MSF-A) is a major independent international medical humanitarian organisation in Australia established in 1995 and is currently one of twenty-four MSF movements internationally. They are a key contributor to the MSF movement, whose mission is to deliver medical aid to people facing emergencies, natural disasters, conflict, and exclusion from healthcare.

Society assisted MSF-A in finding their first Head of Digital Marketing. The search focused on finding individuals that had experience with digital transformation that could help the organization deliver their digital roadmap designed to provide seamless digital customer journeys. Society looked for candidates throughout different sectors that spanned from banking and other private sector areas to major not-for-profit organisations.

Muhammad Wazirzada is a digital professional with over 10 years of experience. Throughout his professional years, he has gained experience in areas such as social media, digital marketing and ecommerce, and also in building and leading teams, all in the private sector. Muhammad is excited to start his first job in the not-for profit sector and with MSF-A.

When asked for comment Muhammad added:

“I'm exceedingly humbled and profoundly honoured to be joining the inspirational team at MSF Australia. Throughout the hiring process, I felt deeply connected to the team and felt right at home at an organisation who's mission resonates with my guiding principles. I'm excited to be joining MSF Australia's passionate team, charged with navigating the organisation and digital customer journey through a digital transformation that I would love to be a part of.”

He also commented on his experience working with Society:

“Jomar and the team at Society have been instrumental in their guidance, knowledge of MSF Australia and their hiring process. I found myself well supported being considered for a role that brought together my love of digital marketing and work that serves a higher meaning.”

Shereena-Lee van de Berkt, Head of Domestic HR for MSF Australia also commented:

“Working with Society has been a pleasure. From the outset, Society understood our technical needs, but also our cultural needs – their support during this recruitment has been invaluable.  The end result was a diverse range of very strong and suitable candidates for us to talk to and we are extremely excited to welcome Mo to the MSF Australia family.”
